Inspired by Bavarian Trachten dresses, this one of one Sofia dress is designed with classic Alpine proportions and sewn using traditional construction techniques. This piece seamlessly combines vintage charm with natural fibers. Designed, pattern drafted and meticulously hand sewn in my studio.
Sofia is crafted from high quality sage green and blue floral linen cotton blend. The fabric offers a crisp structure, incredible drape and breathability. The bodice is fully lined for comfort and structural stability, featuring meticulous vertical pattern matching along the front closure so the floral motif flows seamlessly.
To honor the heritage of traditional trachten design, this garment features authentic salvaged vintage silver metal buttons down the center front and detailed on the puff sleeve cuffs. The fitted drop waist bodice gives way to a densely gathered full skirt that moves beautifully complete with pockets at the side seams. Perfect for Oktoberfest, cottagecore styling or simply as a wardrobe staple built to be cherished for years to come.
Because of the vintage hardware and limited nature of my work, this exact set is a 1-of 1 original and will not be remade in this color or fabric combination again.
