Inspired by the intricate paneling of the Edwardian era and the romantic silhouette of 1940s tailoring, The Evelyn Set combines historical elegance with the effortless drape of pure enzyme washed natural linen. Designed, pattern drafted and meticulously hand sewn in my studio. This two piece set is crafted as a modern heirloom made to be worn together or styled effortlessly as separates for decades to come.
The set began with a roll of enzyme washed linen in a soft dusty lilac, an extraordinary soft pre-shrunk natural fibre that drapes with a weighty lived in comfort right out the studio.
The design brings a distinct vintage mood, featuring a wide structured collar reminiscent of 1940s tailoring paired with a high waist skirt built purely for movement and twirling.
The entire hem of the skirt is finished with bias tape giving the sweep enough structure to hold flare and twirling shape without weighing down the linen. To complete the top, I used genuine vintage Edelweiss metal buttons repurposed from a vintage garment, a tiny rare detail giving new life to a modern garment.
Because of the vintage hardware and limited nature of my work, this exact set is a 1-of 1 original and will not be remade in this color or fabric combination again,

🧺Laundry Care
Machine wash gentle with mild detergent, line dry. The enzyme washed linen will continue to soften with age without losing its shape.
